As the Sand Shifts, Reevaluating the U.S. Strategy in the Middle East (English, released in 2024 and updated in 2026).
Editorial
A Clear, Powerful Examination of America’s Role in the Middle East. In As the Sand Shifts, Dr. Riad Aisami—scholar and expert in U.S.–Middle East relations—offers a sharp, accessible analysis of how American strategy in the region has evolved from World War II to the present day. Drawing from decades of research and firsthand experience, he explores five key issues shaping the modern Middle East: the Arab–Israeli conflict, Iran’s nuclear ambitions, Russia’s resurgence, China’s global rise, and the war in Syria.
Dr. Aisami reveals how long-standing U.S. policies, rooted in Cold War thinking, no longer meet the demands of today’s geopolitical landscape. He argues for a bold shift toward soft power, smart diplomacy, and constructive regional engagement.
Clear, informative, and timely, As the Sand Shifts is an essential guide for students, policymakers, and anyone seeking to understand the forces driving one of the world’s most strategic regions.

When the internet became a viable instructional delivery medium, online learning began to rapidly expand. Shortly thereafter, the need for online teaching approaches promptly emerged. As web-based technologies evolve rapidly, online planning and teaching skills are becoming even more necessary prerequisites for online teaching. Utilizing a 5-Stage Learning Model for Planning and Teaching Online Courses: Emerging Research and Opportunities is a cutting-edge scholarly publication that combines the instructional system design approach (ISD) with the current and emerging instructional technologies for planning and teaching effective and successful online courses. It also offers recommendations that focus on best practice experiences for engaging online students and motivating them to be active participants in an online class. Highlighting a range of topics such as data analysis, educational collaboration, and student engagement, this book is essential for instructional designers, curriculum developers, educational software developers, academicians, teachers, administrators, researchers, and students. It can also be used by training specialists who are employed by universities, corporations, or government agencies and charged with developing and teaching online classes of professional development or web-based military training.

Built upon the conceptual framework of the Programmed Brain and the Learning Chain, this work explores the transformative power of visualization in the learning process, with particular emphasis on learners with diverse multiple-intelligence learning preferences.
If you can visualize it, you can learn it.
True learning is not measured by how much information we accumulate, but by how much we retain, apply, and transform into meaningful action. Through visualization and structured cognitive engagement, learning becomes deeper, lasting, and more effective.
